Embracing Diversity in the Classroom - Illustration to accompny a course

In March 2023, I had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Child of the Sun on her online course, "Diversity in the Classroom." As an illustrator thriving for a more inclusive world, I was thrilled to be a part of this meaningful project and couldn't wait to contribute my artistic touch. 😊
The world around us is becoming increasingly diverse, and classrooms are no exception. Teachers worldwide face the challenge of embracing this diversity while providing every child with the education they deserve. ❤️ The question arises - How can we ensure that each child feels comfortable being themselves, seen, and acknowledged while fostering an open-minded perspective towards our diverse society? 👀
The comprehensive course, divided into 8 modules, aims to answer some of these crucial questions. 👏 While it primarily focuses on ethnic and cultural diversity, the insights provided can be readily applied to various groups and settings. After all, our very nature as humans is diverse. 💯
This course caters to teachers, staff, and management in kindergarten, primary education, and special needs education. However, its practical tips and guidance can be valuable for caregivers and individuals working in multicultural environments. ✅
As a delightful addition, the online course includes several bonuses, including an A2 size poster that I had the privilege of designing. These vibrant illustrations now adorn homes and classrooms, evoking heartwarming reactions from everyone involved. Inclusion and representation matter greatly, and I am grateful to have contributed to this cause. There's even a coloring page available for download on her website! ❤️
